Given how much story content would need to be shown in such a trilogy remake, it would make the most sense to use the method from T4/T5 with the mostly still narrated artwork cutscenes, and then just a minimal animated one after the epilogue. Heck, it'd be cool to have a mode where you can play as a character throughout their whole OG trilogy journey in one sitting if you want to just experience their whole story at once. The tougher thing about an T1-T3 remake would be the gameplay, because a lot of mechanics in the newer games are obviously not present, but I don't know if the older games should adopt all of that or not.
RE: What's Your Dream Game Announcement? - Mr EliteL - Jul 12th, 2025 Yeah there is quite a bit just in the wiki, and wherever it was that information was found. I always forget about those because they've never been in the games, so yeah would be great to actually see them like you already mentioned, through character stories. Perhaps two types like it sort of used, the main Mishima storyline that the plot follows, then individual side stories but more in-depth than the piss poor Tekken 7 ones. Or how it usually was in Arcade Mode but more focused across the 3 games. The only special type of recent gameplay I'd want to see are Rage Drives over Rage Art and Heat system, as they don't slow down the flow, whereas Heat is oppressive as F, and Rage Art is a cutscene. So it gives a separate special move to everyone, so as to differentiate to unblockables, which Rage Drives weren't. Bound/Spin system and Wall combos should be heavily tuned down. I don't mind float combos but sometimes it gets way too long, so I'd want a mix between both old and newer gameplay, RE: What's Your Dream Game Announcement? - Dragon Lord - Aug 30th, 2025 It's funny looking back at this topic and seeing my posts about wanting a Demon's Souls remake, and that eventually did become a reality. So of course in current year, my #1 dream announcement is of course the long sought after Bloodborne Remaster that brings the game to a crisp 60 FPS. I, as a lot of other fans, really thought this year would be the year of an announcement considering the 10th anniversary of the game. While there is still chances for an announcement to drop (TGS, TGA, etc.), I'm feeling like either it really never will happen, or it's going to be what the Demon's Souls remake was -- a PS6 launch title to drive sales of the console. RE: What's Your Dream Game Announcement? - Kyng - Sep 15th, 2025 A sequel to FTL: Faster than Light. The original is an excellent game: a real challenge that's tense from start to finish. I have plenty of fond memories of my winning runs, and I do quite often find myself coming back to it. I'll probably do so for years to come - but, I'm also very curious as to how the team would build on that experience in a sequel! RE: What's Your Dream Game Announcement? - Maniakkid25 - Sep 24th, 2025 My dream game announcement is even more of a pipe dream than DL's Bloodbourne Remastered. I'd love nothing more than to hear about a Legend of Dragoon Remake. It'll probably never happen, but a person can dream, y'know? RE: What's Your Dream Game Announcement? - Dragon Lord - Sep 27th, 2025 While it wouldn't be as high on my list as a Bloodborne Remaster/Remake, I would definitely be absolutely thrilled if they ever announced a Legend of Dragoon remake. I absolutely love that game and while I was happy to see them at least do a PS4 "port" of the game with trophies, I would be over the moon for a complete remake of the game, because while I still love it, it does sadly feel pretty dated at this point. Unfortunately, like many other games, including Bloodborne, LoD is one of those "trapped in Sony hell" games where PlayStation just seems content with doing the absolute bare minimum with it at most. |
