RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Moonface - Jul 12th, 2025 Are 'Friends' Electric? - Gary Numan Randomly had this song enter my head while showering this morning, despite only having heard it on Need For Speed Carbon back when that game was still new.
RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Kyng - Jul 16th, 2025 Alphaville - Sounds Like A Melody RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Maniakkid25 - Jul 22nd, 2025 In a Big Country -- Big Country Just watched the new Todd In the Shadows, and it was about this song. RIP Stuart Adamson, you deserved better, and thank you for leaving us with this banger of a track. I love that you managed to find a way to make a guitar sound like bagpipes -- and that I'm not the only person who hears "bagpipes" when I hear that riff, too! RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Moonface - Jul 27th, 2025 Bitter Sweet Symphony - The Verve @Maniakkid25: My first thought reading that song title was that band missed an opportunity to do a US tour called "Big Country In A Big Country Tour".
RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Kyng - Aug 15th, 2025 Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill It's making me want to re-watch Stranger Things now .

RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Moonface - Aug 23rd, 2025 You Don't Have a Clue - Röyksopp Ugh, on a side note, Spotify made me want to headbutt my steering wheel on my drive home from work today. I always have it set to just play my Liked Songs on shuffle, and a song comes on I don't feel like listening to so I skip it. The next song is one that followed that exact same song two days ago, and when I skip that one the third song is also the same as that previous shuffle. Basically, Spotify gave me the exact same shuffle order that I had been given two days ago. When I then hit the shuffle button to re-shuffle my songs, I watched the queue populate with the same song order as what I had got when I re-shuffled my songs two days ago. I know Spotify doesn't have a truly random shuffle, but for the love of god how can it manage to generate the same shuffle lists from 600+ songs in two days?!
RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Mr EliteL - Sep 6th, 2025 The Dillinger Escape Plan - Unretrofied Just randomly listening to some WWE game soundtracks. Funnily enough I don't particularly like about 1/2 of SvR06's, but this is one of them I do like. RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Moonface - Sep 7th, 2025 (Sep 6th, 2025, 08:39 PM)Mr EliteL Wrote:Dang, looking up that games soundtrack it's pretty bare bones. Not counting wrestler themes there's like 12 tracks, and for me there's none that I recall liking enough to listen to it outside of that game.
RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Maniakkid25 - Sep 12th, 2025 GIRLS' LEGEND U -- Voice cast of Umamusume This is the opening theme to Umamusume, and its on Spotify. I have to say, it has no reason to go as hard as it does. Seriously, it's so good, even with the little flub the full version has. See, the chorus is in a different key to the verses. If my noodling is correct, it drops a minor third, but this still has the intended effect: building up energy for the finish. The problem is that they do this during every chorus. But the key needs to shift back for the verse, so they do it in the most awkward way possible: shifting MID-CHORD back to the verse key! It's like they forgor they needed to change key, and you can hear the panic in the song as it switches keys. It's hilarious, and very jarring. RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Moonface - Sep 14th, 2025 (Sep 12th, 2025, 10:42 PM)Maniakkid25 Wrote:Huh. If it was a mistake I'd expect it to have been corrected before the song was used in any capacity, so I guess it's supposed to be intentional? Seems like an odd choice to do that, and I can't think of any songs I listen to that do anything like that. Maybe it's something Japanese music does in particular?
RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Dragon Lord - Sep 15th, 2025 RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Moonface - Sep 16th, 2025 You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire - Queens of the Stone Age Had to open my Spotify to actually write out that song name, and noticed I "played" 128 songs today from how much I was skipping tracks. Not as bad as yesterday though which was 198.
RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Maniakkid25 - Sep 18th, 2025 No Sensitivity -- Jimmy Eat World Had the song pop into my head yesterday, so I gave it a listen today. It's a good song, but damn that opening throws me off every time because that guitar sounds toneless at first. Something about the mix of distortion and the positions chosen just make it seem so hard to parse for me. |
