What're your thoughts on it, Dead?

I've got a few pals that have made the trek already, one frequents yearly now, and I've been trying to cobble together a plan like this for a hot minute.

Maybe one year, I'm not sure when though. I know someone who's fluent in both English & Japanese so my hubby & I would go whenever they would just to visit so many places. I would love to see all the places featured in Ghibli movies. XD

Maybe: I do admire the place, but it's not somewhere where I could envision myself fitting in.

I suspect I'd spend most of my time exploring the railway network in and around Tokyo! (And maybe riding the Shinkansen bullet train )

Probably yes, used to be an absolute yes. I've kinda lost the enthusiasm of the idea of visiting Japan, I'm sure if I did go it would work out fine, but man the planning stages and the thought of being embarrassed of just being there, ehh. Tourists kinda get a bad rep, yes I would follow rules to the T, but I'd be too self conscious. OK, being a bit negative on myself, gotta think positive! I'm at least on the side of yes anyway even if just about.
