Yeah kinda surprised this sort of thing wasn't about earlier. Not something I'd get anyway. $100, ah with free updates. I jokingly was going to say there'll payable DLC in the future.

What's really dumb about it for me is that Nintendo themselves have said the clock doesn't function well with multiple people or pets. For example, if the alarm goes off but only one person gets up, it will continue to detect someone in the bed so the alarm will continue. Nintendo have said the resolution to this is to evict everyone else who shares your house to change the clock to button mode so it disables the sensors, but then you've spent $100 on what is then a standard alarm clock that has existed for decades, except it has Nintendo branding. At that point you may as well just pick a Nintendo song for your phone alarm instead. Errm

I think the smarter choice here would have been to just release this as an app instead for a couple of bucks a month subscription model. Probably would've got more people in and it could have complimented their other sleep apps like Pokémon Sleep.

PlayStation: The First 30 Years Book Announced
To celebrate 30 years of PlayStation, Sony have announced PlayStation: The First 30 Years, a new large-format photography book.

Players will get a glimpse into never-before-seen prototypes, concept sketches, and design models that shaped hardware development at Sony Interactive Entertainment.  From daring early designs to the iconic consoles and controllers that defined gaming culture for millions, PlayStation: The First 30 Years is a 400 page visual journey through PlayStation history that gives fans a rare glimpse into the brand’s evolution through the generations.

Copies can be pre-ordered here, and will ship in Spring 2026.

Man, I am really on the fence with this one. I'm not a big fan of books that are mostly pictures and no text, but knowing this is made up mostly of pictures that haven't been seen before and aren't likely to be shared in full outside of it are making it very tempting to get a copy.

Either way I do know I'm definitely not getting the Deluxe Edition at $325 because I don't think that book is worth that cost to me, but I will say the treatment for the spine on it is very nice.

*mid-post edit* Okay never mind I bought a copy of the standard version. ROFL

Oof £245 for the Deluxe, almost out of stock of it's limited amount of 1994, at 1401 when I just looked. Yeah Standard is the way to go for this. Not sure if I will get a copy or not yet.

I didn't actually notice the amount the Deluxe edition had available in total and that the number of copies is when PlayStation first released.
For anyone who is considering the book, there is a $20 postage charge because it gets delivered by a tracked courier, so the book comes to $145 when you factor that in. I don't mind just because hopefully it means the book arrives without any dents and stuff which annoys me even when it's a cheap book, let alone something pricier like this one.
