I knew of her mainly from Heroes and Until Dawn, and I do remember her in the Scream movies too (well not 4, not seen that one). Crud though, she's gone so early, it was indeed a shock to me when I saw it as a recommended video to me on YouTube when I never knew she was Kairi. RIP to her.

@Mr EliteL Can't blame you for that one. She voiced Kairi in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, but then was replaced by Alyson Stoner for every appearance of the character after that (Kingdom Hearts III, Kingdom Hearts: Memory of Melody). There's a lot of speculation on why the replacement happened, but I seem to see most people pointing to Hayden's difficulty with drug use being a huge reason why.

But yeah, sad to hear someone the same age as me die of cardiac arrest. Though I will say it really does kind of make me open my eyes more and really look at the way I live (not exactly the healthiest of diets and a huge lack of physical activity at all) and makes me realize I need to change real fucking fast or it might not be too many more years until I find myself having the same thing happen to me. Obviously in her case it wasn't because of those reasons that she had this and was likely due to past/recent drug usage (toxicology report hasn't come in yet, but they found no signs of any physical trauma that could have caused cardiac arrest to happen), but just the fact that someone my age had this happen to them makes me realize I need to try and pull myself away from that same outcome if there's still time to undo years of super unhealthy living.

Her brother died only two years ago of a kinda similar thing, which was "aortic valve complications arising from cardiomegaly" and I wonder if maybe she had something similar and it might be some genetic thing?

Today, August 25, Dolly Parton has died. A cause of death has not been given, but she was put into a hospital four days prior. If I need to explain who Dolly Parton is, I can guarantee you aren't an American; she is a Country music legend with hits like Jolene and I Will Always Love You (yes, The Whitney Houston version is a cover). She was a bright, jolly soul who will be missed for her voice and her positivity.

News just broke about Tim Curry passing away today at 80 years old, the same age as Dolly Parton.

I at least knew who Dolly Parton wass but wouldn't say I was into her music, well wasn't bad, but not something I'd own.

Tim Curry however I think was brilliant in pretty much everything he's done when he was well, and will most fondly remember him as Nigel Thornberry. At least he can now rest after the condition he unfortunately suffered from.

TMZ | 'Breaking Bad' Star RJ Mitte Dead at 34

I don't know of this actor, but what made it get my attention was something I learned not mentioned in the article. Apparently, this poor bastard had an utter scumbag of an accountant who robbed him of his Breaking Bad earnings and left him owing millions of dollars, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was a notable factor if not the biggest one in him taking his own life. A death so young is awful as it is, but if it was caused because of what someone else did to them that makes it really get under my skin.

RIP. I didn't watch Breaking Bad so didn't know this guy, but damn that's horrible both him taking his own life, and that accountant screwing him. I take it owing millions meant that prick didn't get caught. Despicable.

Oh and a bit late, RIP to Peter Cullen too. His voice as Optimus is iconic.

Patrick Stewart, ‘Star Trek’ Captain and ‘X-Men’ Superhero, Dies at 86

Patrick Stewart, the sophisticated actor who brought a Shakespearean touch to Star Trek and X-Men as he made an otherworldly transformation from British stage veteran to sci-fi icon, has died. He was 86.

Stewart died Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles following “a brief and poignant journey with Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia,” longtime spokesperson Kelly Bush Novak announced.

I had no idea he was suffering from anything until now, although given how brief it seems to have been maybe it wasn't reported anywhere until this news broke of his passing. The only bright side to this story is not seeing a young age attached to the person like the last few deaths shared in this thread.

I only just found out now too, he indeed is an acting legend. Will forever remember him as Captain Jean Luc Picard out of his roles, and know he's had many other incredible roles. I didn't know he was suffering from those, but yeah "brief" sounds like it was quite recently and not a long while like many cases can last.

I heard the news from chat mentioning it in the Twitch stream I was watching, which also happens to use a 100 gift sub alert that has the "Captain John Picard of the U.S.S. Enterprise" song attached to it and someone unfortunately timed gifting 100 subs within seconds of the streamer finding out about the news.

RIP to Sir Patrick Stewart. From what I was able to gather, seems like the symptoms and signs of it had been slowly creeping in for the last few years. Important to note that it is the same condition that beloved actor Robin Williams was diagnosed with before his suicide.

While a different type of dementia, we can probably expect to lose another very beloved actor in Bruce Willis in the next year or two due to his battle with frontotemporal dementia. Sad to lose so many great actors in such a way.

Very sad indeed - especially since it comes so soon after the passing of Walter Koenig. It's been a very bad week for Star Trek fans :'( .
