I really just want to give up right now and crawl in a hole.
Three separate times I was told over the summer I had enough credits to graduate and that I won't need more than two classes this semester, so I dropped the extra classes I had signed up for. Today I learned from another advisor that I actually don't have enough credits and shouldn't have dropped one of the classes I dropped, but I can't re-apply to them now. I have to hope that I can find a way to get the missing credits or I can't graduate this semester with the rest of my class and I'll have to do it in Spring 2026, at which point I won't care to do the graduation ceremony because I expected and wanted to do it with my class.
I was expecting to just get told my transcript is wrong because two of my summer classes were entered incorrectly, not that I was falsely led into shooting myself in the foot.

The people from those three instances who told you you had enough credits for graduation are the ones who deserve to be shot in the foot. Damn that system over there, what the hell man? Frick their application deadline, you should be allowed in from that cock up that was out of your control, otherwise you wouldn't have dropped them. Better yet they should allow the credits for free, you shouldn't be held back like that from your class group. I take it either some of your class have enough credits or got in to however many classes they needed for the semester? So what, you'll be doing the two classes still with them, but not the extra third one you needed until much later? It's never ending this, yeesh. Let my boy through, dang it!

Been doing more overtime this week because of stock take at my store. System is so screwed apparently they need 6 weeks for the results when before it took only a day to get, wtf?! Eh I'm off for 6 days so I don't need to think about work for a little while. Got a cold though so got to recover from that, just in time for my break. Joy.

Well, fortunately I believe everything managed to work out? I managed to get into an internship program that will give me the credits I needed, and I can just do it with my existing job so I'm not actually adding on any extra workload; I just get credits for going to work like I usually do and the only extra thing required is my manager filling out a form. And yeah, everyone else has the credits they need, I was the only one who had ended up being short but since I no longer am, then I should be graduating with everyone else in December. That said, I'm not going to hold my breath that something will rear its ugly head to give me another headache with all this. Right after I thought everything had been fixed with my advisor, I discovered a teacher I had in the summer who needs to submit my grade for her class got suspended, so now I have no idea who is supposed to submit the grade.

Ah that's excellent it's been sorted that way. But darn it, your teacher got suspended? Why couldn't it just wait until after the grading done, why?!   I take the teacher who did the class can only submit it, or perhaps a different teacher could on this particular circumstance.  It's always one thing after another.  

My week's been so-so, got a cough again after a cold, or perhaps the cough part of the cold didn't fully go away. A couple of nights trouble getting to sleep because my mind wouldn't settle. I just need to go to bed sooner instead of 11PM or later, I'm sometimes I'm in bed before then. Weather getting colder, I suppose it's October now already. Oof, 2026 is just round the corner.

I've done quite a bit of de-cluttering this week. I threw out a bunch of my old schoolwork, which I'd been hesitant to do, because once it's gone, it's gone - but, it was just taking up space, and I was never going to read it again (I would probably have been a bit embarrassed to!).

Also got rid of some old art/writing projects from over 20 years ago, that I started as a child, and abandoned soon after starting. No way I was ever going to finish them .

However, I've been sneezing all day... I expect it's my dust allergy >_< .

Right now I don't know but I'd assume only the teacher who did the class can handle the grading because no other professor would have access to that particular course in the system (in the sense that teachers only get assigned the classes they teach, so won't see classes in the same course if another teacher is doing it). Luckily I have a grade from the paper/course already; I was just being given the chance to finish the paper which might bump my grade up if it can but if it turns out no one can grade the finished paper, I just really need someone to remove the incomplete so the grade I currently have from the class gets officially recorded. 


Currently in Orlando preparing to drive home soon, but been up here since yesterday evening for Halloween Horror Nights. Our group managed to do 5/10 houses which were FNaF, WWE, Grave of Flesh, Galkn, and Demon Bounty Hunters. If anyone is curious to experience them this video does a good walkthrough of each one.


@Kyng: Too late now but had you considered doing scans of any of it so you'd have a copy but it doesn't take up physical space? I might do that with any of my old school stuff whenever I go through it at some point.
