Oh no I know DQ3 Remake got done first because in timeline that game is set before 1 and 2, but I thought the remakes for 1 and 2 were already announced before my previous post.

You'd be correct that they were announced before. I&II 2DHD Remake were announced in June of 2024.

I'm looking forward to these finally releasing. I've been putting off playing the remake of III so that I can play them all in a row and hopefully get the best experience that way. Been a long wait, but only a couple of months left to go.

  • Never-before-seen lore of the princess
  • Lore connections to Dragon Quest 3 that were not present in previous versions or remakes
  • The ability to fight more than one enemy at the same time
Dragon Quest II HD-2D
  • Addition of previously scrapped content
  • 4th party member
  • A complete version of an area that appears from Dragon Quest I, which in previous versions was only a scaled down version of that area
  • Five sigils in permanent locations
  • New abilities, spells, monsters, and bosses
