I could understand asking people to not openly share spoilers and hoping people oblige. But implying there are consequences for streaming a game beyond a certain point is where it's no longer a request and now a demand.

I also think it's really dumb this was done on just Twitter as far as I know. If you don't follow that account or even use Twitter you'd never know that rule exists and could end up getting punished for streaming the game and not even know what you did wrong.

At the end of the day people who don't want spoilers will do their best to avoid them, and will likely only be spoiled if someone goes out of their way to spoil it for them, such as the Atlus case. Nobody is going to be spoiled by a stream unless they watch it, and that's entirely on them, not the streamer.

Well, I can safely toss it to the side, because Princess Maker ain't my bag. I'm sure it has plenty of people that would love to play it; I'm not one of them.

Jokes aside, I've seen someone start streaming this (no sponsor, they have to begrudgingly state, cuz they are constantly asked...) and it sure is... a thing. After watching someone spend over 100 hours playing a silly stakes race game for the N64, I find it interesting that they're still finding new ways to do gacha games lmao

Oh, we didn't even mention that the Academy the horse girls go to is named "Tracen Academy", with "Tracen" short for "Training Center". I CAN'T WITH THIS GAME!

But seriously, I get the appeal of games like it, it's just not my thing. And given the success of games like Long Live The Queen, I'm not surprised it has a market in the West, but you really gotta get me invested if you expect me to play a game where all you do is click tasks and get stats back. I'll play it for a lark, but nothing serious. Would rather do literally anything else.

Oh, it's the anime horse girl game! I had no idea what this was until I read @ShiraNoMai's post because the name didn't register for me.
I can't say it surprises me it's a princess maker (a game type I've not heard of as a term until now surprisingly). The trailer/website gave me the impression you just pick a "horse" and then care for it to manage stats and such and then that determines how well it performs in a race. I didn't think it would have had you control anyone in the race at all. Even if it did let you do that, I don't expect it would maintain an appeal for much longer than its current gameplay style offers.

I do wonder what other things that wouldn't usually have a wide appeal could have anime girls put into them? I suppose a farming sim where all the animals are anime characters (I'd say just girls but farming needs breeding so we need the guys involved) or a even a zoo?

I call it "Princess Maker" because that was the first game to really do this sort of game, so it evokes the game type that Umamusume is, but life simulators have existed for forever, and encompass a wide variety of games. Calling it "a life simulator" does nothing to help explain the game play; calling it "Princess Maker" does.

The game you are thinking of does exist. I can't remember the name, and it's unabashedly pornographic, but it exists. I don't really feel like poisoning my google search history with "Monster Rancher Porn Parody Game", so I'm not about to try and find it, but I do know it exists! You're welcome!

Ah, I see. I looked up Princess Maker to get an idea of what those games are like because I've never heard of them. They remind me of something like a Tamagotchi where you have to care for something and avoid it dying if that's a possibility.
