Digimon Story Time Stranger (PS5)

A Mighty Blow -- Achieve a rating of "EXCELLENT!!!" when attacking an enemy's weak point.

So a bit of explaining. Digimon Story Time Stranger has a type triangle a la Fire Emblem, as well as an element system, and a trait system. If you set yourself up so that your type is favorable, you hit a weakness, AND the digimon has the trait in question you are targeting, you get an "Excellent", dealing 4.5x damage (the lowest damage multiplier I know of is 0.3x for having an unfavorable typing and hitting a resistance)! Pretty tricky, right?

The game gives you this achievement for free.

See, at a specific boss fight, a guest Digimon will show up who's special attack automatically does an Excellent damage multiplier to that boss. This is a mandatory event; there's no way around this! It's absolutely hilarious; what should be an actual achievement, searching for the right enemy and team composition is just gift-wrapped to you.

Couple more achievements before that on the same day, but not worth mentioning. This is probably the most low-effort achievement game I've ever played. Aside from "main story quests", everything else was just small things you just can do during a level randomly. The last two mentioned here were the last remaining ones I hadn't done after I beat all the levels (and perfect score wasn't even a hard feat; 25% of players got that). Any achievement hunter want free dopamine from an all-achievements completion, this'll run you a few hours to do so.

After leaving it unfinished for so long, I decided to buckle down and get this platinum and the NG+ trophies done at long last. Another game off the backlog. The NG+ trophies are needed for the platinum since they are a separate list, but of course I wasn't going to leave it without getting the full 100%.

Elden Ring: Nightreign (PS5)

Nightlord Slayer - Defeated three different Nightlords in a row.

I was dreading this trophy since it requires doing three straight runs, against three different Nightlords, in a row without a single failed campaign in between. There's lots of things that can happen to royally screw your run and just end it instantly, but thankfully the game was nice to me and didn't do that. Most of the bosses I got were on the relatively easy side as well, except in my third run when the game tried to end me by throwing the Godskin Duo as my Night 2 boss. Then the Nightlord of that run, which should have been the easiest of the three I did, decided it was going to be an absolute troll and not do what I needed it to do. So the fight lasted much longer than it should have and I was done to my last life (went in with three revives) and managed to pull it out in the end to get this trophy done and out of the way.
